Our Disney World Christmas Vacation

We thought we would try something different this year for Christmas. We have no family visiting us right now and have the whole long holiday weekend off.

Joe and I spent Christmas Eve night at Coronado Springs. We don’t stay at the resorts often since we live so close but it’s a nice treat. We stayed in the Ranchos section and were able to check in extra early. We went to the Dig Site and relaxed.

I made some fast passes so we jumped on a bus to Epcot. I hadn’t stayed for fireworks since before my neck surgery and was looking forward to a late night (late to me)!

We saw Ming Na Wen (Mulan, Agent May) in the Candlelight Processional. It was incredibly moving. Illuminations are always breathtaking and even better from the Fast Pass viewing area!

Christmas morning at Disney was pretty quiet. We drove to the Contemporary for breakfast at the Wave. They have a very nice buffet with sweet potato pancakes, Eggs Benedict and cheesy hash browns.

We took a quick walk to the Magic Kingdom with no bags and the Passholder entrance making it a breeze. We stayed long enough for small world and the Christmas Parade. It was wonderful!

Monday we finally went to see Rogue One in Disney Springs. I won’t give any spoilers but – Wow!

Great Christmas weekend! Can’t wait to see what New Year’s is like!
