Downtown Disney at Night

Downtown Disney is a shopping mall by day and adult party central by night. In the last five years Disney has worked to re-theme the downtown area to be more family friendly, especially at night. This is still the go to spot on property to go for an adult night out though.

For the “beer with friends” crowd head to Splitsville Bowling Lanes. This two story bowling alley functions also as a sports bar and grill. Splitsville has 30 bowling lanes, billiard tables, and fantastic pub styled food. Outside, there is a fully serviced bar with plenty of seating. There is live entertainment almost every night, weather permitting.

House of Blues is partially a casual dining restaurant and also a small concert hall. Known nationally, House of Blues serves good food and provides great entertainment. Click here to see whose performing and to purchase tickets.

To enjoy some great cocktails and nice wines, Paradiso 37 is where to go. The outdoor seating provide a perfect view of the downtown area. They have a great atmosphere for just sitting around a talking with friends. This place is not to big and usually has a line but once in it is nice and relaxing.

The Boathouse is new to Downtown Disney. They serve everything from burgers to seafood platters. They have a beautiful outdoor bar that shows a great view of the lake. While you are here you can enjoy a unique type of boat ride, where you get into 50’s styled cars turned into cars and cruise around the lake. Something that must be mentioned with The Boathouse is its prices are pretty high. The boat ride is $120 and some of their dishes of food can cost up to $113. But if you are willing to splurge this place is great. If the cost is a bit too much you can always sit at their bar. There drink costs are about the same as other places around. That was you are able to get the experience of The Boathouse without the pocket burden.

There is more to enjoy in Downtown Disney, this is more of an overview of the most “adult friendly” places down here. If you have the kids you can enjoy the dinosaur themed restaurant, T-Rex or its sister restaurant, Rainforest Cafe which is obviously rainforest themed. Downtown Disney does have plenty of shopping to meet everyone’s needs. There is an “Art of Shaving” store as well as two flip flop stores, “Sanuk” and “Havanas” and of course the largest Disney gift shop on property!

Enjoy & please don’t drink and drive!!!

Our Review of Inside Out and a bonus on Lava

premier

Two of us were lucky enough to see a viewing of the new Disney Pixar film Inside Out on Saturday the 13th at AMC Theaters in Downtown Disney (future Disney Springs). I was super exited to meet Joy and Sadness, two of the stars of the movie. I was of course expecting a cute movie and it way surpassed that!

Remember the up and downs you felt when watching Toy Story 3? From the lows of the gang holding hands with impending doom looming and the highs when they found a new forever home. We laughed and we cried. The same is so true with Inside Out.

This is a story of Riley, an 11 year old girl. We get a look into what makes her unique and special. There is so much going on inside her head and we get to see it all! Her emotions are separate and sometimes at odds with each other. When an issue arises, her emotions must work together to help Riley.

We all have feelings like Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust or at least bits of them. They are all splendidly acted and so believable! This movie will actually be a great tool for parents and teachers to talk about the usually difficult topic of emotions.

I give it 4.5 Mickey Ears (I wish there was more music I could sing to)

lava

Lava is a delightful short film inspired by tropical islands. They are beautiful but sometimes so isolated. The story is told by the singing of the volcanos over many thousands of years. It is a beautiful love story that will give you goose bumps and leave you singing. I know I still am!

Review: Be Our Guest Resaurant- Magic Kingdom

Looking for a great dining experience? Then make your way over to Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. The outside of BOG is absolutely beautiful. You go across a great stone bridge adorned with gargoyles and a river creek view. In the distance is Beast’s castle from The Beauty and the Beast, which is lit up. When you enter the restaurant your mouth tends to drop as the grandeur and detail of the room takes your breath away. Giant paintings and elegant curtains surround the room and above are giant chandeliers that light the room perfectly.

The ambiance Disney sets in here is unlike anything we have ever seen. Truly was a magical experience. You are transported into the Beast Castle without it feeling cartoonish or fake. This is genuine extravagance with a uniquely Disney touch. Of course there is a hidden Mickey! Hint: look up!

The food was also just incredible. The French Onion Soup is rich and layered thickly with yummy cheese. The Mussels are fresh and tangy. BOG offers decadent entrees such as Grilled Strip Steak to Pan-seared salmon on leek fondue. Most members of our party ordered the Sautéed Shrimp and Scallops, while others ordered the Pan-seared Chicken. The chicken was moist and tender and the seafood and puff pastry topping were wonderful even by skeptical New England standards. The portions were satisfying without being overly large.

Try the Gray Stuff it’s delicious, don’t believe me… No, really, the Gray Stuff is great! It’s like crushed Oreos mixed with whipped cream on a yummy brownie. The Lemon Meringue Cupcake is tart and light. The Chocolate Crème Puff will satisfy any chocolate craving!

The overall experience was just wonderful and the staff was very attentive. You really feel like this fine dining. Can’t wait to return to try each and every dish!

To Retirement and Beyond

We visited Walt Disney World many times in the years our children were growing up. It was always such a happy place and a place where we had built so many wonderful memories. We always planned that when my husband, Steve, retired it would be to Florida. The plan was that he would retire from corrections and then get a job at the happiest place on earth aka Disney World .
Now that dream is a reality and Steve is doing his beyond retirement dream job as a part time Security Officer at the happiest place on earth and loving it. He was so excited meeting Mickey and learning at the Traditions class. He’s just full of fun facts now!
Who would have thought that this is the same man that for the last year of his career dreaded his eight to sixteen hour days, would now be whistling while he works- yes, the pun was intended.  Steve gets up and proudly puts on his costume and grabs some stickers to hand out to junior Security Officers. He has even learned some funny jokes to help make guests more comfortable. He thinks he’s really funny but at least he tries!
As I am writing this I realized that dreams do come true!

Typhoon Lagoon

2144 TL

Typhoon Lagoon is a tropical themed water park located adjacent to Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs). It is 56 square acres of fun in the sun. The water is heated and the park remains open most of the year. Both water parks close down due to weather and repairs/upkeep yearly.

There are lockers and towels available to rent at the entrance of the park and food throughout. The gift shop carries everything from sunscreen to bathing suits. I wonder how many people forget their suits? There are refillable cups available for purchase and filling stations everywhere. Definitely worth it if you will be staying for more than a few hours.

Castaway Creek is a continuous lazy river that runs in a 2100 feet loop. You can either ride a single tube or a couples tube. There are numerous entrance/exit points along the way or you can just stay in all day. The scenery is beautiful and it has beach friendly music piped in. The only downside is no floating bars.

Surfs always up at the Wave Pool. I will warn you to hold onto little ones and glasses and they will go flying. Always a fun time with feel of the beach without all that pesky sand. There are lounge chairs all around the pool with shade and easy access to drinks and food.

The water slides are the most fun. They range from tame like Keelhaul Falls to the much more exciting like the Humunga-Kowabunga. One young niece called this the super-wedgie ride! Definitely go on each and every slide. It’s fun and the lines have water accents so it doesn’t feel so hot. Crush ‘N Gusher is more than a water slide, it’s a water coaster. This is definitely a high octane ride for the very adventurous!

Shark Reef can be very busy so I would suggest making it your first stop if you’re so inclined. You get a snorkel and mask and do a swift swim through across the 60 foot pool. It’s very fun but perhaps not for the people who aren’t into the learning aspect of the park.

I would suggest an early start to your day at Typhoon Lagoon. By midday, the water park can be quite crowded and hard to find seats together. If you are going to go into the water park later in the afternoon, you could always spend the morning enjoying what will soon be the new Disney Springs.

Magical Moments with Cast Members

Cast Members

Walt Disney World has around 73,000 employees. Most of them are not getting rich working there and a lot of them work in the awesome heat of Florida, day in and day out. They clean our hotel rooms, cook and serve our food and transport us safely around the World. How many times have you heard people complain that they have to wait in line to have their bags checked? The jobs can be thankless especially when hot and tired people take their frustrations out on anyone with a name tag.

The above picture is of Paul, a cast member in Epcot. He was holding Alice’s place in the UK where you can get a picture and autograph of her. Alice was away but would be returning shortly. He was super polite and cheerful even with the sass he was getting from some people who wanted Alice and not Paul. We decided that Paul would do just fine. Anyone could get their picture taken with Alice but how many people had a picture with Paul! He obliged us with a selfie that made us all laugh! Great attitude gave us a magical moment.

This ice cream looks like your average great tasting sundae but the story behind it is what makes cast members magical. Walking around Magic Kingdom with three young kids can be painful but add 100° and large crowds and it becomes downright miserable. This was all until while walking by Seven Dwarfs Mine Train a lovely cast member, whose name I can’t remember came up to is and handed the kids these ice cream sundaes, free of cost. What looked like what was about to be breakdown central in the middle of Magic Kingdom turned into a great time as the kids were refreshed and so happy. What’s even more wonderful is this generous act has happened to my family more than once. In the same location, we ordered our ice cream with the full intention of paying but upon giving my debit card the cashier just handed over the ice cream and said “This is a gift from Mickey.” Disney has made many magical moments like this for my family and it definitely leaves a lasting impression on us.

Sometimes just noticing that someone is from a New England State (or wherever you’re from) and striking up a conversation can bring a smile to your face. Knowing that any cast member will take a moment to say Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary can add to your special day. It’s nice when they whole family can get into the picture because a cast member will take that picture for you (no you don’t have to purchase the package).

This next magical moment is not for the faint at heart. My son was a young teenager and was made to go to WDW yet again. Being young, he enjoyed his breakfast of fudge and brownies. After the 5th or 6th time on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster, his breakfast decided to reappear. Code V was called and he says what happened next was right out of Men in Black. Cast Members just appeared, cleaned up the area and gave him a jawbreaker pop. He still talks about this as the best day ever in Disney. Just goes to show you that one man’s vomit is another man’s magical moment! (I didn’t think a photo was needed/wanted)

So while not every cast member is going to make your day, there will be one who will make someone’s day magical. Like the saying goes, if you see someone without a smile, share one of yours!

Have you had a magical moment? Let us know!

From Scrooge McDuck to Mr. Disney

2981

Our story starts with me, Gina, being completely and utterly in love with all things Disney, especially Walt Disney World. Living in New England, WDW is a great treat.  Then I met a wonderful man and we even went to WDW together when we first started dating. We’ll call him Joe.  He didn’t “get” my obsession. He thought it was a fun theme park but really, what’s the big deal? Gasp! What? He even cancelled trips that he had intended on going on – just because. I mean really, how many times can you go to the same place?

We had started talking about moving down to Florida a few years ago. Then last year, my siblings moved down. We’re pretty close and I was lost up in NE. So I followed them down 2 months later! I was able to find a good job in my field. The plan was for Joe to come down within the year. Just a few months later he was here too. This is where the story really begins.

The first thing we did when Joe arrived was purchase his Florida resident annual pass. Pretty exciting stuff. Since Joe is a frugal guy, he figured out how much it would cost per visit blah blah blah. Well that made him pretty happy. Then he realized the differences between being on vacation and just stopping in at the Magic Kingdom. The stress and rush are gone. He just got to enjoy the parks for the magic that they have .

A few months later, Joe is now Mr. Disney. He works for the mouse, talks about the mouse and knows so much more than I do! We shop at the mouse stores and his saying is that he lives the Walt Life. His friends were recently down for a visit and were treated to a tour of the world that people pay good money for! Glad I’m along for the ride. I’m not sure who this guy is but I’m keeping him if only for the discounts!

Walt Disney World – A Tale of Four Parks

WALT DISNEY WORLD is a tribute to the philosophy and life of Walter Elias Disney and to the talents, the dedication and the loyalty of the entire Disney organization that made Walt Disney’s dream come true. May Walt Disney World bring Joy and Inspiration and New Knowledge to all who come to this happy place…a Magic Kingdom where the young at heart of all ages can laugh and play and learn — together.

Plaque dedicated October 25, 1971, by Roy O. Disney, rededicated Oct. 1, 1996, by Roy E. Disney

Walt Disney World had gone through many changes since 1971 – new attractions, parades and even new parks. WDW is over 43 square miles of pure entertainment. They have worked the magic into four theme parks, two water parks, four golf courses and 27 resort hotels. To truly see everything is almost impossible as it is always changing. Let’s do an overview of main features.

The Magic Kingdom is where most people think of when they hear Walt Disney World. This is where you’ll find such icons as Cinderella’s Castle standing at 189 feet at the end of Main Street USA. Space Mountain- the oldest operating roller coaster in Florida- sits in Tomorrow Land.   And Big Thunder Mountain Railroad located is located in Frontierland but set in the American southwest.

Disney history buffs love that the Carousel of Progress is still showing every day and that the small world boats are still filled with people singing (somewhat reluctantly) “It’s a small world after all”. Though the queue for Peter Pan’s Flight has been updated, the ride remains unchanged. The Pirates of the Caribbean has be updated to include Captain Jack Sparrow from the hit movie series. Splash Mountain, also in Frontier Land, remains a crowd favorite along with Adventure Land’s Jungle Cruise, a  pun-filled boat ride.

Proponents for change have enjoyed the additions of Starbucks and the New Fantasy Land. This includes a new roller coaster; the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train opened in 2014 and is based on the vintage movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Also, there are now two Dumbo rides to enjoy with a play center between them and water accents outside. In this new Land, guests will also find The Big Top which is home to all the goodies you can imagine from cupcakes to cotton candy, and chocolate covered marshmallows to caramel apples.

When in the Magic Kingdom there is not shortage of tasty and cool treats to try.  Eat a Mickey shaped chocolate covered ice cream bar while enjoying the Festival of Fantasy parade or, over in Adventure Land, Aloha Isles is home to the pineapple Dole Whip and Dole Whip Float. Sunshine Tree Terrace with their beloved mascot Orange Bird is home to the Citrus Swirl ice cream. But, no trip to the Magic Kingdom is complete without a hug from a character!

There several meet and greets spread throughout the park but Mickey, everyone’s favorite mouse, is at Town Square Theater near the entrance to the park. If you only have one day at Walt Disney World, spend it at Magic Kingdom and stay for the fireworks!

To all who come to this place of joy, hope of enterprise and concepts of a future that promises new and exciting benefits for all. May EPCOT Center entertain, inform and inspire and above all, may it instill a new sense of belief and pride in man’s ability to shape a world that offers hope to people everywhere in the world.

E. Cardon Walker, October 24, 1982

Epcot, the second park opened at Walt Disney World, comes from one of Walt Disney’s ideas. Epcot stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and it is often referred to as a permanent World’s Fair.  The park is separated into two separate areas: Future World and the World Showcase.

Upon entry you see the geodesic dome that stands 18 stories high. Housed inside is the ride Spaceship Earth. Narrated by Judi Dench, you are taken through time to learn how communication changes the world.  At the end of the journey, riders enter Project Tomorrow and can explore games and simulations of the future.

With only a handful of rides, there usually are long lines for Soaring – a virtual reality flight above CA- and Test Track which is a simulation of a test drive in the concept cars of the future.  In the Seas with Nemo & Friends, you will get to walk among the fish. The ride is geared toward young kids but the aquarium is second largest in the country and can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. Next to the Seas is The Land where you can enjoy Living with the Land, a slow boat ride teaching you about agriculture around the world.  After leaving the Land guests will come across Journey into Imagination with Figment; this attraction has regained some popularity among the younger crowd recently. An adventure in education can be had, too, at Ellen’s Energy Adventure; this is a nicely air conditioned moving theater ride.

The World Showcase is situated around the World Showcase Lagoon. This manmade body of water is home to the nighttime fireworks show, Illuminations.  There are 11 permanent countries represented.  Each showcases the culture of their homeland.  This includes it’s music, food, entertainment, traditional dress, and adult beverage. Drinking around the world is a popular pastime of guests over 21.

There is plenty of entertainment to be had in the World Showcase.  The Chinese acrobat shows are beautifully performed. Don’t miss the Stave Church in Norway for a taste of Frozen. The  country’s Maelstrom ride is gone now, but will be replaced with a ride featuring Elsa and Anna. No visit would be complete without a trip to the American Adventure, a history of American narrated by Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin. The pre-show is an acapella  group, the Voices of Liberty. They sing traditional folk songs and will sprinkle in some Disney classics occasionally. France’s movie “Impressions de France” is a great place to sit and cool down and learn a little bit too.  If you are looking for a sweet treat in France, stop and get some of their ice cream.   Or, you can try the Werther’s Original popcorn in Germany which should not be missed.  For a meal, the food at Via Napoli in Italy is almost as stunning as the buildings facades.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the park that brings together old Hollywood with new Hollywood. Old Hollywood can be found through the park with attractions such as Tower of Terror and diners like 50’s Prime Time Cafe. The new Hollywood has taken over Hollywood Studios with the thriller ride, Rocking Roller Coaster with Aerosmith and the Frozen Sing-along. The Studios symbol was recently changed when Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat was taken down to reveal the Chinese Theater for the new backdrop to Hollywood Studios.

The draw for many to Hollywood Studios is its two thrill rides, Tower of Terror and Rocking Roller Coaster. Both rides get your heart racing, one with speed and one with fear. Not a fan of thrill rides? Get in line early for Toy Story Mania. The virtual 3D carnival game ride is fun for the whole family. Hollywood Studios also has some fun for the Star Wars fanatic. Star Tours is another 3D virtual ride that has many different scenarios; you can go on this ride many times and it may be different each time.

To pay homage to the place of it’s namesake, Hollywood Studios has stage shows that commemorate some of the most successful movies from Hollywood. The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular is a stunt show that gives you a behind the scenes look at how action movies, like Indiana Jones are made. In this show viewers chosen as extras so have your  camera face ready.  Light, Motors, Action is another stunt show but this one features cars. The drivers in the cars do amazing stunts and there are appearances from some favorite big screen cars such as Herbie Lovebug and Lightening McQueen. Hollywood Studios also has a show for the Frozen lovers. Frozen Sing-Along has everyone singing the movies most famous songs while getting “snowed” on. There is also an appearance by Elsa and Anna. Lastly, the other musical show is Beauty and the Beast. Your favorite characters from the 1991 Disney animated classic come to life on stage to sing songs from the movie like “Belle,” “Be Our Guest,” and “Beauty and the Beast”.

Some of the best places to eat on Disney property are in Hollywood Studios. Hollywood & Vine is a buffet with great traditional American food. Equally good food can be found at 50’s Prime Time Cafe but eat everything on your plate or “mama” will be upset. The Sci-Fi Drive-In is good food with a movie. You definitely will not leave hungry.

Animal Kingdom is a theme park and zoo all in one.  There are roller coasters, thrill rides, a safari, and a petting zoo sure to satisfy guests of all ages. Disney’s newest park opened in 1998 and offered a different experience than any other Disney park. Uneven walkways and foliage all around give Animal Kingdom give the feeling that you have traveled the world even though you have not left central Florida.

No trip to this park would be complete without making your way through the Kilamanjaro Safari. A specially designed safari truck brings travelers through African lands such as the Serengeti savanna and the Safi River Valley wetlands. All the animals on the journey are real and include giraffes, crocodiles, antelope, lions, and a crowd favorite, elephants. Guests are able to get quite close to the animals so have your camera ready. Once off of the safari you can learn even more about the animals from the safari many more on the one mile long exploration trails. To get even more immersed into the wonders of the featured wildlife, there is a short train ride over to separate part of Animal Kingdom. Rafiki’s Planet Watch tells you how the animals are fed and cared for. This is where you will find the petting zoo; here you can pet farm animals like goats and llamas.

There are a few rides that  thrill seekers will enjoy.  The most thrilling being Expedition Everest. This ride is a fast roller coaster that goes forwards and backwards with steep up hills and dramatic downhills centered around exploring Mount Everest. Another thrilling ride takes you back to the age of the dinosaurs. This ride, Dinosaur takes you in a time rover through a jarring tour of  the end of the dinosaurs. To get some more dinosaurs, Dino Land USA is perfect. Designed to look like a traveling carnival, this section of the park has dinosaur themed rides like Primeval Whirl and Triceratops Spin. There is also an excavating site where youngsters can dig up dinosaur bones. With all of this adventure, you will have  worked up quite the appetite.

You can get quite the variety of food in Animal Kingdom. The new Harambe Market has ribs and sausages while Asian inspired food is served at the Yak and Yeti at both their indoor and outdoor service. Traditional American food can be found at Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari and Flame Tree Barbeque.

In it’s 43 years, millions of people have traveled from all around the globe to visit Disney World.  But, what keeps guests coming back is Walt Disney World is not just a theme park but an ever-changing series of worlds to be discovered and experienced by guests young and old.

I don’t want the public to see the world they live in while they’re in the park. I want to feel they’re in another world.
–Walt Disney

Staying Cool in Disney World

The summer in Florida can be quite hot. Seriously, a cold day is 89°. This also happens to be the busiest time in Disney World. So if you are making your way to the Happiest Place on Earth this summer here are some ways you can beat the heat.

One of the best ways to stay cool is by staying hydrated. Now you do not have to spend $2.75 every time you get thirsty or lug a backpack full of water to stay hydrated. One of the best things about Disney is that they do offer free cups of ice water. If you go to any dining building or snack window they will hand you water in a medium cup, no questions asked. One thing to note with this is that free cups of water are not available at portable snack carts as it is considered to be a health issue since the ice is contaminated with the bottles it is keeping cold.

Speaking of these portable snack carts, they have some great treats to cool you down. The carts have the signature Premium Mickey bar, which is like a Klondike bar shaped like a Mickey head on a stick. They also have another Mickey shaped ice cream sandwich, which should be considered for kids since it is not as messy as the Mickey Bar. The most refreshing items at the portable snack cart though are their fruit bars. Offered in strawberry and strawberry lemonade, which features our friend Olaf, this frozen snack hits the spot amazingly well in the heat.

Drinks and treats are not your only options for staying cool. All the parks and even Downtown Disney have attractions or fun spots to beat the heat. These fun spots have water features so bring your bathing suit. Animal Kingdom is the only park that does not have a cooling spot but they do have the Kali River Rapids, which you will definitely get wet on. Epcot has couple cooling spots, behind the Spaceship Earth is a misting station that has some water sprinklers. Also in Epcot there is a misting station themes like a car wash. This one is located near Test Track. Hollywood Studios cooling station is a mister that is shaped like a giant Coca Cola Bottle which is right past Toy Story Mania. Magic Kingdom got a brand new cooling station in Storybook Circus. It is a really interactive sprinkler train. Downtown Disney has a sprinkler system similar to what is in Epcot behind Spaceship Earth.

Most buildings in the parks are air conditioned. It might just be a good idea to park yourself at a table or on a chair inside one of these buildings and just taking a breather. Nothing wrong with a little bit of down time during your stay. It is a vacation isn’t it?

Sometimes the heat is just too much. No amount of water is helping and everyone is just tired, go back to your hotel. When you have a Magic Your Way pass you can reenter the park you were in earlier without wasting another one of your days. Most hotels have pools (all Disney hotels have pools) so head back to the hotel and jump in the pool or take a nap. We suggest doing a park in the morning and around 1:00-2:00 heading back to your hotel then heading back to the park 5:00-6:00. The parks are opened late, sometimes until 2:00 am so it might be a good idea to be in the parks during the cooler parts of the night.

Coming prepared is the most helpful tip we can give. Here are some items we bring into the park to help beat the heat:

  • Cooling Towels – These are great for around your neck and stays cool for a long time. To make cool again just run the towel under some tap water and ring out. The towel will be cool again.
  • Water Enhancers – Getting free water is great but can get boring quickly. Most companies make an enhancer so you can have your favorite drink while staying hydrated. This is something to do with kids since it keeps them drinking.
  • Misting Fans – Just store in the side pocket of your backpack or cup holder of your stroller and take it out when the kids are complaining about the heat. Turn the fan on and spray and you cool down instantly. These are available in the park but you may want to provide your ownSince they cost about $18.00  in the park but cost between $10-$15 in stores.

Obviously, you do not have to bring in all of these items but we just wanted to give you some options.

Enjoy and Stay Cool!!

Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade – Magic Kingdom

image

Everybody loves a parade and we all know Disney knows how to do it right. The newest parade is  The Festival of Fantasy Parade and it is amazing.

image

It is done as only Disney could do, amazing from beginning to end. Young or old this parade has all the characters you have come to love. Such as everyone’s new favorites from Frozen to the always beloved Mickey Mouse. The floats are beautifully decorated and bring magic to Main Street USA.

image

The over sized floats make it easier to find a good spot to watch because sitting or standing you can’t miss them unless you close your eyes and who would do that?
