Disney’s All Star Music Resort of one of three original value priced resorts. There are approximated 2000 rooms and they are a small 260 square feet. The rooms fit up to four people with the Family Suites fitting up to 6. The buildings, pools and rooms are all musically themed with bright cheery accents. Look for the giant drums, cowboy boots and juke box! It’s fun for any age and definitely family friendly.
The Intermission Food Court has all the basics that you expect on Disney property. There are varied stations with everything from pasta, fried chicken to burgers. Breakfast of course has the famous Mickey waffles. The refillable mugs are available. Pizza delivery is also a great option on long days!
There are two pools at ASMu. The Calypso Pool is located right outside of the Intermission Food Court and adjacent to Singing Spirits – the bar. The pool has a Three Caballeros fountain in the center. There are plenty of lounge chairs and a shallow pool area for smaller children. This pool is shaped like a guitar. The second pool is the Piano Pool with the deck area being the keys. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am-10pm. There are games and activities throughout the day at the main pool area as well as a movie shown in the grass in the evenings.
So the rooms are not large. They are not overly fancy. However if you are looking for that Disney immersive feel without the heavy pocketbook burden, stay at a value resort. Most people, besides honeymooners, use the room to sleep and then depart quickly for pools and parks. Save your money for other things like Mickey Ear ice cream!
